Osun and Borno Top Continuous Voter Registration as INEC Publishes Week 5 Statistics
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released updated figures on the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), showing that Osun, Borno, and Lagos States are leading in online pre-registration numbers.
As of September 21, the Commission reported that online pre-registration had reached 5,385,060, while physical (in-person) registration stood at 764,695.
According to the Week 5 statistics shared via INEC’s official social media channels on Tuesday, the breakdown of online registrants includes:

2,799,844 females
-
2,585,216 males
-
3,604,668 youths (aged 18–34)
-
1,354,274 students
-
114,713 Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs)
For physical registration, as of the end of Week 4:

418,750 were female
-
345,945 were male
-
565,927 were youths (18–34)
-
279,172 were students
-
10,838 were PWDs
A state-by-state breakdown of online pre-registration shows:

Osun State leading with 578,904 registrants (10.75%)

Borno State following with 561,666 (10.43%)
-
Lagos State in third with 530,180 (9.85%)
At the bottom of the list are:

Enugu State with just 2,931 registrants (0.05%)

Abia State with 4,608 (0.09%)
-
Edo State with 9,670 (0.18%)
The figures highlight a strong showing by youths and students in both online and physical registrations, reinforcing INEC’s ongoing push to engage young voters ahead of upcoming elections.
