Police Recover Kano Deputy Governor’s Stolen Hilux, Arrest Driver

The Kano State Police Command has recovered the stolen Toyota Hilux belonging to the convoy of the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo, following a swift and coordinated operation.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor.

According to the statement, the vehicle was recovered in the early hours of Wednesday after an intensive search by security operatives.

A suspect, identified as a permanent and pensionable driver, has been arrested in connection with the theft and is currently assisting the police with their investigation.

The Deputy Governor’s Office commended the prompt response and professionalism of the police and other security agencies involved in the recovery, describing the incident as a breach of trust by the arrested driver.

“The general public is advised to remain calm and assured that the security of lives and property remains a top priority of the Kano State Government, both within and outside the Government House,” the statement added.
