PSC reveals list of 10,000 successful applicants for police constable roles
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has unveiled the roster of 10,000 candidates who submitted applications for constable and specialist positions within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
PSC disclosed that the successful candidates were distributed across all 774 Local Government Areas nationwide. In a statement released on Tuesday, Ikechukwu Ani, spokesperson for PSC, mentioned that 9,000 applicants were given the green light for general duty recruitment while 1,000 individuals were selected for specialist roles.
Solomon Arase, the chairman of PSC, emphasized that the selection process underwent rigorous scrutiny to bolster the force’s capacity and efficiency.
Arase announced that 10 candidates were chosen from every Local Government Area across the nation in accordance with the guidance of the national assembly.
He expressed hope for the future, stating that these individuals symbolize the potential of our country’s security. Arase emphasized the importance of starting their path with values such as integrity, transparency, and excellence, which he believes is a shared duty for all.
The Nigeria Data Protection Act of 2023 requires that the names of individuals who have been chosen for roles must be made public.
To verify your selection, you can use your National Identification Number (NIN) here. In October 2023, the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) called for applications for positions in law enforcement and specialized artisan roles.
During the recruitment process for general duty positions, a total of 171,956 applicants were selected to take computer-based tests in February.
