“Replace Underperforming Appointees” – El-Rufai Urges Tinubu
Former Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, advised President Bola Tinubu to replace any appointees who failed to meet expectations during his tenure.
El-Rufai shared this viewpoint during a conversation with journalists in Maiduguri on Monday, emphasizing the importance of revising policies that do not yield desired outcomes.
“If an appointee is not performing up to par, the president should have the courage to inform them that better performance is needed, and consider assigning them to other responsibilities,” El-Rufai remarked.
He also urged citizens to pray for and support the administration’s efforts to bring about positive change.
“As citizens, we should offer prayers for our leaders, asking for divine guidance in making righteous decisions. It’s crucial for leaders to possess the humility to make necessary adjustments and take corrective actions,” he added, highlighting the role of collective support in societal advancement.
