1. Police have rescued 11 of the 18 passengers abducted by gunmen along the Benin–Akure highway near Obarenren village in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State. The incident occurred on December 12 when the attackers reportedly stopped the vehicle at gunpoint, fired shots, and took the victims into the forest.
2. President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has filed a petition with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over alleged corruption involving the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Engr.
