Wike promises Safe Environment for Foreign Investors

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has pledged to create a secure and tranquil atmosphere to attract international investors.

During separate meetings with the Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Christophe Bazivamo, and the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency Annika Hahn-Englund, the minister assured them of a peaceful and secure environment for foreign missions in Abuja.

He thanked them for recognizing the progress made by the FCT Administration in infrastructure development and security.

Additionally, he committed to welcoming investors from Rwanda and Sweden, highlighting potential collaborations in environmental management with Rwandan investors and exploring opportunities in digital technologies and transportation with Swedish partners.

President Bola Tinubu’s directive to ensure a conducive operational environment for all foreign missions was also reiterated by the minister.

We are pleased with your recognition of our efforts in enhancing infrastructure and security in Abuja. It is our priority to ensure convenience for all foreign Embassies, he stated.

The Rwandan High Commissioner, Christophe Bazivamo, mentioned that investors from Rwanda have shown interest in addressing environmental concerns in Abuja.

Additionally, the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Annika Hahn-Englund, expressed a desire to strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship with Nigeria.

She highlighted Sweden’s expertise in digital technologies and transportation management and emphasized the availability of capable investors willing to collaborate with the FCT Administration.
