‘Yusuf Bichi Among Worst DSS Chiefs Ever’ – Okai

A Kogi State chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Austin Okai, has criticized the former Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, labeling him as the worst to have led the agency.

Okai attributed Bichi’s appointment to nepotism under former President Muhammadu Buhari, claiming that Bichi was brought back from retirement solely due to Buhari’s favoritism.

President Bola Tinubu recently replaced Bichi with Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new DSS Director-General.

Announcing the change, Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, stated: “The new DSS Director-General, Mr. Adeola Ajayi, rose through the ranks and had served as State Director in Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.”

In response, Okai shared his thoughts on X, saying: “Bichi wasn’t even supposed to be there initially, it’s Buhari nepotism that brought the man back from retirement. One of the worst @OfficialDSSNG DG.”
