Vice Chairman of Badagry West LCDA, Oluremi Ajose, Passes Away 2 Month after Assuming Office
The Vice Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose, has passed away, just two months after assuming office.
Her death, which occurred on Saturday, has sent shockwaves through both the political and traditional communities of the historic town of Badagry.
Princess Ajose was sworn into office on July 27, 2025, alongside the Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, and five councillors. The inauguration was conducted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Family sources confirmed her passing and stated that her body has been deposited in a morgue.
Ajose was the daughter of His Royal Majesty, Oba Oyekan Possi Ajose, the Alapa of Apa in the Egun-Awori Kingdom. Her death has plunged the royal household and the broader community into mourning.
This tragic incident follows the recent death of Oluwakemi Rufai, Councillor representing Ward C1 in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, who passed away on August 13, less than two weeks after her own swearing-in.
