2027: My Tenure as Rivers Governor Makes Me the Best Choice for ADC – Amaechi

Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, currently seeking the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket for the 2027 election, shared insights from his tenure managing the security crisis in Rivers State.

In a video address to stakeholders posted on Facebook, Amaechi revealed that when his administration took office, Port Harcourt was plagued by rampant crime, with kidnappings, killings, and robberies disrupting daily life and crippling economic activity.

He stated that within six months, his government had restored order, chased away criminals, and revived social and economic activities in the state capital.

“I am the only aspirant of the party that does not only come with experience but has served in a state where what is facing us now has faced us,” Amaechi said, emphasizing his hands-on experience in addressing security challenges.
