Ekiti Governor, Oyebanji formally Declares Bid for Second Term Under APC

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has officially announced his intention to seek a second term in office on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made the declaration on Monday during a meeting with members of the APC State Working Committee at the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Ekiti governorship election for June 20, 2026.

Governor Oyebanji highlighted the importance of building on the achievements of his current administration. He expressed gratitude to the party leadership for their trust and support, stating that he has delivered on all his campaign promises.

He also pledged continued respect and recognition for party elders, describing them as key pillars and foundational figures in the APC’s growth in the state.
