Governor Similanayi Fubara of Rivers State began making decisions in his role as governor from February 2024.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Egbeda Community Secondary School field during the inauguration of internal roads projects in Emohua Local Government Area, which were launched by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Fubara emphasized that the visible projects were achieved within a span of four months.
He emphasized that effective governance, efficient service delivery, and successful projects were being implemented at a reasonable cost.
He expressed confidence in the progress made so far and promised increased dedication moving forward. By achieving such positive results within just four months of starting full governance in February 2024, he believed that the ongoing success would continue to garner support and lead to transformative changes for Rivers State.
All of my actions are documented in my white paper, which I always have with me to ensure transparency and accountability.
You can reach out to me anytime, and I will provide you with all the necessary information. I maintain detailed records of all my past and current government activities, understanding the importance of record-keeping as a civil servant.
This ensures that in case of absence or unforeseen events, anyone can access the file and understand the history.
I have been trained to always keep in mind the proper procedures before taking any action, which is why I am not afraid of anything.
I can provide evidence of my actions and decisions being sanctioned by the necessary approvals rather than being based on personal whims.
The governor has pledged to continue implementing projects that directly benefit the people and improve their quality of life.
The completion of the Egbeda Internal Roads Project not only brings joy to the residents but also addresses long-standing flooding issues in the area.
The Governor expressed gratitude for the community’s support during and after the elections, promising to fulfill his duty by providing essential services and infrastructure as part of democratic dividends.
During the project’s inauguration, Oborevwori mentioned that he rode alongside Fubara on the way to the event venue and could vouch for his brother governor’s dedication to maintaining infrastructure development in the State.
He highlighted that the road project at Egbeda exemplifies the Rivers State Government’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its pledge of sustainable infrastructure development.
This initiative is set to not only benefit the residents of Egbeda but also economically empower the entire Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State with its all-season roads.
