INEC Declares APC’s Mukhtar Rabiu Winner of Garki/Babura Federal Constituency Bye-Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Mukhtar Rabiu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Garki/Babura Federal Constituency bye-election.
Professor Isma’il Ibrahim, the Returning Officer for the election, announced the results following the collation at the INEC office in Babura.
Rabiu secured a total of 38,449 votes, defeating his closest rivals—Isah Auwalu Manzo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 13,519 votes, and Sabo Salisu of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who received 2,931 votes.
Professor Ibrahim confirmed that Mukhtar Rabiu met all legal requirements and was therefore declared the winner and duly elected.
