The development follows a circular issued by the Commission’s National Headquarters on Friday. In a statement issued on Saturday on behalf of Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, by Public Affairs Officer Musa Olurode, INEC said the initiative aligns with the approved national timeline for the ongoing CVR.

The Commission emphasized that the exercise is designed to ensure all eligible citizens have the opportunity to register, update their details, or verify their records ahead of future elections. “Phase One of the exercise will continue until 10 December 2025, after which subsequent key activities will follow,” the statement said.

“Registered voters and the general public are encouraged to visit any of the 30 local government offices of the Commission to verify their details,” the statement added. Citizens can raise claims or objections during the seven-day display period, with public scrutiny being a key step in ensuring the accuracy of the voters’ register.

Complaints arising from the display exercise will be received, documented, and processed on 21 December 2025, with necessary updates to the register carried out on 22 December 2025 to maintain the integrity of the voter database.
