Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has dismissed the opposition’s reliance on social media as a strategy for winning elections, emphasizing that real political victories come from grassroots mobilisation and effective governance.

Speaking on Monday during a stakeholders’ meeting following the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning two state constituencies and a federal constituency in Saturday’s by-elections, Governor Sani warned politicians against overdependence on online propaganda.

“There is no ballot box on Twitter. There is no ballot box on Instagram or Facebook. Elections are won at the grassroots, not on social media,” he stressed.

The governor criticised opposition parties for engaging more in “Twitter (X) battles and Facebook noise” while highlighting the APC’s focus on inclusivity and people-centred policies as key to its electoral success.
