The Labour Party (LP), led by Nenadi Usman, has called for the arrest of Acting INEC Chairman May Agbamuche-Mbu, accusing her of criminal collusion with Julius Abure in a case involving a disputed court order.

In a statement titled, “INEC’s Acting Chair in Criminal Collusion with Julius Abure Over Fake Court Order – She Must Be Arrested,” signed by LP’s Interim National Spokesman, Toni Akeni, the party alleges that Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu recklessly invited Abure to a meeting with political party leaders despite a standing Supreme Court judgment against his claim.

LP’s investigation found no valid court order recognizing Abure as party chairman. A formal request for a Certified True Copy of any such order was denied by the court, confirming no order had been granted.

The party has challenged Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu to produce the court order she claims to rely on for recognizing Abure, warning that failure to do so will further implicate her in undermining Nigeria’s democracy.
