Political activist and public affairs analyst Mahdi Shehu has condemned President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other top government officials for their silence following the abduction of 170 people in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Shehu shared his reaction on X on Monday while responding to Vice President Shettima’s scheduled visit to Plateau State for the reception of Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He criticized the nation’s leaders for not visiting the affected community despite the severity of the incident. “Neither Tinubu nor Shettima nor Akume nor Christopher visited Kajuru,” Shehu wrote. “But they are busy with other lesser engagements because 170 kidnapped victims do not matter in a country where 600,000 people were killed within one year.”

Commenting on the APC event in Plateau, Shehu added, “Welcome Mutfwang to the final destination.”
