“Bayern Munich Just Crowned the Most Attacking Team on Earth!”

The world’s most attacking football teams this season have been unveiled.

The CIES Football Observatory released its latest ranking on Wednesday, highlighting the teams that have played the most attack-minded football so far in the campaign.

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich topped the list, finishing ahead of French Ligue 1 holders Paris Saint-Germain, who placed second.

Barcelona were ranked third, with Bayer Leverkusen taking fourth place, while Olympique de Marseille completed the top 10.

Outside Europe’s top five leagues, MLS side Columbus Crew impressed by finishing fifth overall. They ranked above Denmark’s Nordsjælland in seventh place and France’s AS Saint-Étienne, who came eighth.

According to CIES, the rankings were determined using four key indicators: the proportion of ground passes received in the opponent’s attacking third, average passing distance, passing tempo during possession, and overall possession duration.
