Khalil Coe has announced on social media that he must withdraw from his scheduled light-heavyweight bout against Jesse Hart on October 11 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The fight was set to feature on the undercard of Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis vs Uisma Lima.

Coe, who holds a record of 10-1-1 (8 KOs), revealed an ongoing hand injury is the reason behind his withdrawal. “I want to apologise to everyone that was coming to see me go to battle on October 11, but I’ve had to withdraw due to an ongoing injury,” Coe wrote on Instagram. “There will still be a lot of fireworks on the card. Stay tuned and I love and appreciate everyone who supports me.”

His manager, David McWater, confirmed the 29-year-old sustained hand damage that could have serious implications for his career.

Coe was aiming to build on his momentum following a sixth-round stoppage victory over Manuel Gallegos in May, a comeback after a previous stoppage loss to Gallos.

Jesse Hart, 31-3 (25 KOs), who is preparing for his first significant bout in 18 months, is now searching for a late replacement opponent. The 36-year-old has only participated in brief, one-round contests this year within the Team Combat League and has not fought a full professional match since defeating Daniel Aduku in April 2024.

With Coe’s withdrawal, Hart’s return to serious competition may face further delays.
