EPL: Petit advises Super Eagles invitee to choose Arsenal over Chelsea and Man Utd

Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit has urged Michael Olise, a 2021 Super Eagles invitee, to choose the Gunners over Chelsea and Manchester United Olise has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea this summer.

The Crystal Palace winger had a brief yet brilliant season, despite injuries limiting him to just 13 starts. Olise contributed 10 goals and five assists, helping Crystal Palace avoid relegation and finish mid-table.

Speaking about the 22-year-old amid interest from Premier League clubs, Petit told Grosvenor Sport:

“I watched Michael Olise against Manchester United [in Palace’s 4-0 win on May 6] and I thought he was incredible.

“Arsenal should do everything they can to sign him over Man United and Chelsea. He did some tricks during the game – and so did Eze – where in my day they would have left the stadium on crutches.

“If I had to choose, I would have both, but Olise is more what Arsenal need on the right flank. Having both him and Saka would be very good for Arsenal because they still need that, and Olise has improved so much over the last few years.

“If I’m Olise, I would choose Arsenal too, as I want ambition in my career and my place is not at Crystal Palace anymore.”
