Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has identified two Spain players who could pose a challenge for England in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final.

The Three Lions secured a spot in the final with a late goal from Ollie Watkins, defeating the Netherlands 2-1.

They will face Spain, widely considered one of the tournament’s strongest teams, who clinched a 2-1 victory over France in their semi-final on Tuesday.

Under Luis de la Fuente’s leadership, Spain has only failed to win one game in normal time throughout the competition.

Neville highlighted Spain’s central midfield pair, Rodri and Fabian Ruiz, as key concerns for England.

“Trust me, if we allow Rodri and Fabian Ruiz to dominate midfield, it will make life much harder for our full-backs,” Neville commented on ITV.

“It’s crucial to press them aggressively. If they start feeding their wide players like Yamal and Nico Williams, England’s full-backs could face a tough time.

“Engage Rodri and Fabian Ruiz, disrupt their play, and we’ll limit their attacking options significantly.”
