EPL: Guardiola Praises Two Man City Players Following 3-0 Victory Over Man United

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Erling Haaland and Abdukodir Khusanov following their impressive performances in City’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League derby.

Guardiola described Haaland as a “special player” who has consistently delivered since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2022. He also singled out Khusanov for his strong defensive showing in the match.

“Erling never disappoints us since he arrived,” Pep Guardiola said in his post-match interview. “He has the commitment — that’s why he signed a long-term contract. He’s a special player.”

Speaking on Khusanov, Guardiola added: “We have the next 11 months playing every three days — no human being can handle that. But with his physicality, he’s so fast, and he controlled his side of the pitch really well. He didn’t lose many balls. Sometimes his energy leads to rushed decisions, but today he was excellent.”
