EPL: Manchester United Name Three Potential Managers to Succeed Ruben Amorim

Manchester United have shortlisted three candidates as they weigh the possibility of parting ways with current manager Ruben Amorim.

Amorim has come under scrutiny at Old Trafford following four defeats in the club’s first seven matches across all competitions.

According to talkSPORT, former England manager Gareth Southgate is among the contenders. Southgate was previously considered for the role before United appointed Amorim in November 2024, but he had declined a return to club management at that time.

Recent reports indicate that United minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has renewed contact with Southgate in recent weeks amid the team’s ongoing struggles.

The other two names reportedly on United’s shortlist are Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola.
