WAFCON Star Oshoala Honoured by NWSL Club Bay FC

National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Bay FC honored Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala for her key role in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The celebration took place at PayPal Park ahead of Bay FC’s match against San Diego Wave.

The 30-year-old forward scored one goal in five appearances for the Super Falcons during the WAFCON 2024 finals. Her crucial goal came in Nigeria’s opening 3-0 victory over Tunisia.

Oshoala, a four-time WAFCON champion, has been a vital figure for Nigeria, netting 37 goals in 61 international caps.
