The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations revealed on Monday that over 10,400 residential houses have been flooded in various regions including western Siberia, the Volga region, and the Central Federal District.

In the heavily impacted Orenburg Region alone, more than 6,100 individuals have been evacuated, with 33 temporary accommodation centers set up to accommodate 33,000 people.

The Orenburg Regional Government anticipates the flood peak to occur on April 10, with the situation along the Ural River not projected to normalize until April 25.

According to TASS news agency, over 18,000 people are situated in flood-threatened areas based on information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The agency reported a continuous rise in daily average temperatures, snowmelt, and river thawing from April 7 to April 11 across Siberia, the Volga region, and the Central Federal District, heightening the flood risks to low-lying areas and transportation infrastructure.
