Power Outage Strikes Three States as TCN Towers Vandalized

Power Outage Hits Gombe, Yola, and Jalingo Due to Vandalized Transmission Towers

LResidents in Gombe, Yola, and Jalingo are currently experiencing power outage following the destruction of four transmission towers along the Jos-Gombe line, confirmed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, stated that the vandalism occurred around 3:32 pm on Monday, disrupting bulk power supply to Gombe, Yola, and Jalingo Substations, impacting parts of Yola and Jos Electricity Distribution Companies’ franchise areas.

Efforts are underway to restore power supply through alternate routes while TCN works on repairing the vandalized towers.
