The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered that popular TikTok content creators Saheed Osama and Uyime Udoekwere be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre. The ruling follows allegations that both individuals made libellous statements against Mrs. Omowunmi Aloba, widow of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Aloba).

Mrs. Aloba filed a motion accusing the defendants of tarnishing her reputation and causing emotional distress through defamatory posts circulated on social media, particularly TikTok. During the hearing, the prosecution presented evidence asserting that Osama and Udoekwere disseminated false information about Mrs. Aloba, prompting the court to hold them in custody pending further legal proceedings.
