EBSU Student Allegedly Takes Own Life After Struggling with a Course Multiple Times

NIGERIA NEWS 247 confirmed that a student of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) allegedly took her life after struggling with a course multiple times.

A student identified as Favour Ugwuka, a student at Ebonyi State University, reportedly committed suicide at her Ishieke hostel in Abakaliki.

In a video, a woman claiming to be her mother blamed a lecturer for her daughter’s suicide, alleging mistreatment.

Rex Nwome, a graduate from the same institution, stated that Favour struggled with a particular course and faced intense depression, exacerbated by missing out on the latest NYSC shortlist.

Efforts to obtain a response from the University have been unsuccessful.
