Ebonyi State University’s (EBSU) Student Union Government (SUG) election has officially been cancelled and postponed by two weeks following technical challenges that plagued the initial online voting process.

The election was halted after students experienced issues accessing the voting portal, with many encountering network glitches and invalid registration numbers. After assessing the situation, the university’s electoral committee decided to cancel the ongoing election and reschedule it for a later date to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

A new election date has been set for two weeks from now, giving ample time to address the technical problems and test the voting platform for a more reliable experience.

The university has assured students that the integrity of the election will be maintained, and they will be updated on any further developments in the coming days.

Students are encouraged to remain patient and participate fully when the election resumes.
