Udo Cletus, an SS3 student at Federal Government College Kaduna, has won N1.9 million in cash and gifts during the school’s Speech and Prize Giving Day.

In a statement signed by Seyi Gambo, the Global President of the Alumni Association, it was noted that this event, which had not been held for 11 years, was revived by the current alumni executives.

The statement highlighted the alumni’s dedication to ensuring the school remains a top federal institution in Nigeria. Last year, they raised over N200 million in endowment funds and prevented the school’s lands from being acquired by the Kaduna State government.

Udo emerged as the top graduating student by excelling in 11 subjects. He received N1 million from alumni member Abolore Solebo, along with additional cash gifts and a laptop, totaling N1.9 million. Access Bank also opened accounts for all the awardees. The event was emotional, with joy expressed by parents, awardees, students, and teachers.
