JAMB Responds to Candidates’ Challenges in Checking UTME Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has responded to concerns raised by candidates encountering difficulties while attempting to check their 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
After JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, announced the release of the UTME results on Monday, candidates attempted to access their results through various means, including SMS and the JAMB portal. However, some candidates reported challenges in accessing their results, prompting them to express their frustrations on social media platforms like X.
One candidate, @gbedutainer21, raised a concern about a lost SIM card, which was used for registration, and asked if they could still check their result without it. JAMB responded, emphasizing the importance of the SIM card as a unique identifier for accessing JAMB services. They advised the candidate to retrieve the SIM card to facilitate result checking.
Another candidate, @abilityways, mentioned payment made for result checking but faced difficulties accessing the result. JAMB directed the candidate to visit any JAMB-approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) center for assistance.
Additionally, @Dikeemmanuel46994 sought guidance on retrieving a forgotten JAMB registration number, email address, and phone number used for registration. JAMB advised the candidate to visit any JAMB office for necessary assistance.
Overall, JAMB’s responses aimed to address candidates’ concerns and provide guidance on resolving issues related to UTME result checking.
