JAMB Releases 2024 UTME Results: Over 1.9 Million Candidates Verified

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially unveiled the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In a press conference held in Abuja, the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that a total of 1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination, marking a notable increase of 24.7% compared to the previous year.

Out of the registered candidates, 1,904,189 were successfully present and verified, while 2,899 were present but unverified, and 80,810 were absent.

Candidates eager to access their results have two convenient options available to them: through SMS or via the official JAMB portal.

To check via SMS, candidates need to send an SMS with the phone number used for registration to either 55019 or 66019. They should ensure a minimum airtime balance of N50 and type either ‘UTME RESULT’ or ‘UTMERESULT’ before sending the message. Shortly after, they will receive an SMS response containing their results.

Alternatively, candidates can visit the official JAMB result checking portal and input their JAMB Registration Number or email address. After clicking on the “Check My Result” button, their results will be promptly displayed on the screen.

With the release of the UTME results, candidates can now ascertain their performance and proceed with their academic aspirations accordingly.
