Primary school pupil bags N21m scholarship for scoring 100% in maths competition

Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara, a young math genius, has been granted a N21 million scholarship for achieving a flawless score of 100 in the primary category of the National Mathematics Competition hosted by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria.

Alex Onyia, an education advocate and CEO of Educare, proudly announced this news on Friday through X. Zara’s exceptional performance has earned her a full six-year scholarship at Evergreen College in Enugu.

Onyia revealed that she received a prestigious full scholarship valued at N21 million to pursue a six-year education at Evergreen College in Enugu.

The National Mathematics Competition, hosted by MAN each year, is renowned for drawing the most talented young individuals nationwide.

Recently, six students from Divine Rays British School in Anambra State’s Idemili North Local Government Area excelled in the 2024 edition of the competition organized by Catalyst Consulting, which spanned various states in the country.
