The Oyo State Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) in Ibadan announced on Friday that it has revised the Computer-Based Test (CBT) timetable for prospective applicants.

TESCOM Chairman, Mr. Akinade Alamu, made the announcement while discussing the revised timetable initially scheduled for Monday to Friday.

Alamu explained that the adjustment was due to a planned nationwide protest expected to begin on Wednesday.

“To avoid any unforeseen circumstances, TESCOM and its partnering agencies, including the management of the Distance Learning Centre (DLC) at the University of Ibadan, have agreed to compress the examination into three days,” he said.

He added that the examination would now take place from July 29 to July 31 and assured applicants that the adjustment would not pose any threat.

The TESCOM chairman noted that the DLC management agreed to provide additional halls, computers, and other facilities to accommodate the compressed schedule.

He appealed to candidates to check their phones regularly, as text messages regarding the timetable adjustment have been sent to their phones and email addresses.

The specific examination date and time for each applicant can be accessed through the job portal dedicated to the exercise.

NAN reports that 62,000 applicants will take part in the examination, with 12,000 applying for non-teaching jobs and 50,000 for teaching jobs.
