Actor Kanayo Introduces Son to Filmmaking, Urges Crew: ‘Treat Him as One of Us’

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, has welcomed his first son, Clinton, into the world of filmmaking.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Kanayo presented Clinton to the members of Simpliciter Associates Productions, his production company, on a movie set. He announced that Clinton would be working as an assistant production manager and personal assistant to him.

The seasoned actor also cautioned his crew that his son had been hired to work and should be treated like any other member of the team.

He said, “This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. He is joining us today as an assistant production manager and as my PA. Do not treat him differently because he is my son. This is a warning to everyone. He is here to work and will earn his fee just like everyone else.”

“Please, do not refer to him as K.O.K.’s son. I do not approve of that. Treat him as you would any other member of the production crew. He will be learning from the production manager and gaining experience in this field. Treat him respectfully, as you would treat others. That is what I want him to learn. Do not spoil him by allowing him to get away with things.”

Kanayo also mentioned that his eldest son will be learning about filmmaking and management.

“My son, Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, joins us as Assistant Production Manager & my Personal Assistant. He is an intern to understudy Filmmaking and Management before proceeding for further studies,” he wrote in the caption.

“We should encourage our children to work in our organizations or other establishments to gain industry experience. Well done, Onyeze. Welcome aboard, Simpliciter Associates Productions.”
