BBNaija’s Tacha Claims Two Guinness World Records for Cosmetic Makeovers

Former Big Brother Naija star, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially earned a place in the Guinness World Records, achieving two titles for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in both eight-hour and 24-hour periods.

Guinness World Records confirmed the feat in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, stating: “Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”

Tacha had made the record attempt last month during the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos, where she worked with 150 models.

According to GWR, the 29-year-old completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours, officially setting two new world records.

In an emotional Instagram post, Tacha thanked her fans, team, and late mother, describing the journey as one powered by grace, persistence, and unwavering support.

“You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work—we warred,” she wrote.

Reflecting on the experience, she added: “The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches: sleepless nights, generator hum, prayers at 3 a.m., swollen feet, shaky hands, and grace that does not lie.”

Speaking to Guinness World Records, Tacha said her inspiration came from a lifelong passion for makeup and a desire to inspire Nigerian and African women to pursue excellence.

“I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they set their minds to—that creativity is powerful, and African women deserve global recognition,” she said.

Addressing her supporters, Tacha expressed gratitude: “To everyone who called, showed up, reposted, and believed before they saw it—thank you. The same God who did this for me will answer your prayers double. Don’t stop; if you don’t have haters, pray for haters—they’ll push you into purpose. While they hate, I chase destiny and win.”
