Breaking: Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo popularly called, Jnr Pope, is dead.

Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, also known as Jnr Pope, has tragically passed away.

Reports indicate that he died on Wednesday afternoon while on a boat trip for a film shoot. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed to Channels Television that Junior Pope’s body has been taken to the morgue.

It’s also been confirmed that one crew member’s body has been found, while three others remain missing after the boat capsized following a collision with another boat in the River Niger area of Anambra State.

Just before the incident, Junior Pope shared a video of himself in a speed boat without a life jacket, highlighting the risks involved in entertainment.

Condolences from fellow Nollywood actors are pouring in on social media to pay tribute to the late actor.
