Mr. Macaroni Denies Allegations of Raping 17-Year-Old, Affirms Criticism of Tinubu Government
Nigerian actor, comedian, and activist Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has refuted recent rape allegations made against him online.
The accusation emerged from an X user with the handle @Lukurawa16703, who claimed that Mr Macaroni raped a minor and allegedly used the Nigerian police to intimidate the victim and her family into silence. The user also criticized Mr Macaroni’s activism, questioning his credibility.
In response, Mr Macaroni described the claims as “horrendous and distasteful” and dismissed them as politically motivated. He suggested that the accuser is a supporter of President Bola Tinubu and the ruling APC, framing the allegation as propaganda aimed at undermining his criticism of the government.
He further warned that he intends to take legal action against the individual behind the account to deter similar attacks in the future. Mr Macaroni also urged anyone with relevant information about the accuser to come forward.
“This tweet is also an opportunity to strongly refute this ridiculous accusation and any other similar claims from APC supporters,” he stated, adding that he expects such attacks to continue as long as he speaks out against the government.
