Nigerian Music Star Waje Publicly Announces Her Engagement

Popular Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, widely known as Waje, has announced that she is engaged.

The 45-year-old made the revelation during a recent interview with Hip TV in Lagos, briefly stating, “I am actually engaged,” without offering additional details about her fiancé.

Although the identity of her partner remains unknown, Waje had previously stated in an interview that she would not consider marrying an unsuccessful man, explaining that she no longer has the patience to endure such struggles due to her age.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, the singer also shared personal details about her past, revealing that the father of her daughter denied responsibility for the pregnancy when she was a teenager and abandoned them. She added that although he later returned to apologise, he still failed to take responsibility, even after requesting a DNA test—which he ultimately did not show up for.
