Ace rapper Olamide has opened up about the significant influence the late Indigenous rapper Dagrin had on his career.

In a recent video interview, the YBNL boss credited Dagrin with inspiring him and many other artists in the Nigerian music scene. Olamide revealed that he often turns to Dagrin’s acclaimed album, C.E.O, for motivation whenever he faces “writer’s block.”

He said, “Dagrin’s C.E.O album is timeless. It’s one of the few rap albums that almost everyone in the southwest can recite word for word. He influenced so many of us, and whenever we need a boost, we listen to his music.”

Dagrin tragically passed away in a car accident in April 2010, and his music continued to gain recognition and popularity posthumously.
