American rapper and record executive Rick Ross is facing a lawsuit for not making his show wheelchair accessible.

Darris Straughter, a disabled man, filed the suit against Ross, alleging that the rapper failed to accommodate disabled attendees at his popular Car & Bike Show. Straughter claims that despite purchasing a ticket and arranging travel and lodging, he was unable to attend the event at Ross’ 235-acre estate, known as “The Promised Land,” in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Straughter, who has been disabled since suffering a traumatic spinal cord injury in 2018, contacted the event organizers two weeks in advance to inform them of his needs. He further alleges that the organizers promised refunds to anyone unable to attend, but he never received any follow-up or compensation.

Represented by attorney John Hoover Esq., Straughter is suing Rick Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). The lawsuit seeks damages and a court order mandating that future car shows provide proper access for disabled attendees.
