Nigerian rapper Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, known as Ruggedman, has explained why he stopped supporting the controversial activist VeryDarkMan.

In a recent episode of the Echoo Room podcast, Ruggedman revealed that he initially admired VeryDarkMan for his work on the NAFDAC number issue but grew uncomfortable when the activist began intruding into people’s private lives, particularly targeting women.

Ruggedman criticized VeryDarkMan’s approach, stating that it has become illogical and distracts from his original cause.

He added, “His early work calling out those selling products without NAFDAC numbers was commendable, but now, all you hear about him is personal attacks, like the situation with Iyabo Ojo and her daughter.

When you start invading people’s private lives, you can’t expect them not to respond. That’s why I’ve distanced myself from his activism.”
