Tanzanian Singer Mandojo Tragically Killed After Mistaken Identity as Thief

Popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Mandojo has passed away.

Mandojo was tragically beaten to death on Sunday, August 11, 2024, after being mistakenly identified as a thief.

Confirming the heartbreaking news, musician Soggy Doggy wrote on his social media page, “My heart is in great pain. I will miss you very much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Truly, human life is very short on this earth. My deepest condolences to brothers, relatives, and friends, and I’m deeply sorry, my brother @domokayatz. God’s work has no mistakes.”

In his tribute, fellow artist Domo Kaya posted, “Daaaah MY SON, I can’t believe it. The 22nd of this month was supposed to be your birthday. Aisee, why! This is so sad. Rest in peace. May God grant you eternal light, friend, brother.”

Mandojo’s death occurred just days before his birthday. He was known for hit songs like “Nikupe” and “Dingi.”
