Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo, others Seek Help for Gospel Singer Omije Ojumi
Several Nigerian music stars, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Lare Alewilese, have appealed for financial support for their colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi.
The calls for assistance come weeks after Omije Ojumi visited G.F David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking healing for an unspecified leg ailment that has reportedly left her financially strained.
In a video shared on Instagram, singer Lare Alewilese urged the public to offer prayers and financial help, emphasizing the urgency of her situation.
“She really needs your support NOW!” he said, sharing her account details and calling on musicians from all genres to unite in helping her.
Alewilese added, “God, in your mercy, please heal her. For God’s sake, I’m calling on both young and old, my brothers and sisters in the gospel industry, including Juju and Fuji musicians—let’s put religion aside and save the life of sister Bunmi Akinanu, Omije Ojumi.
“I’ve sent direct messages to some singers, but there’s still a need to cry out so people can understand what is happening. When my colleague Alayo called me yesterday about her, I was shocked because I thought God had taken control of her healing. I didn’t know she’s being moved from one hospital to another.”
Other entertainers, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Akinade Olubukola, and actress Foluke Daramola, have also used their platforms to solicit support for Omije Ojumi.
While the exact nature of her medical condition remains unclear, the video has sparked widespread concern and calls for urgent assistance.
