Yusuf Gagdi, the representative for Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in Plateau State, has revealed that many of the attacks on Plateau are orchestrated from neighboring states.

Gagdi made the comments on Tuesday during an interview on Politics Today, a program on Channels Television.

He stated, “It is accurate to say that some of these attacks are coordinated from neighboring states. The forest reserve along the state boundary has become a base for bandits from the Northwest and Northeast, particularly those from the Zamfara axis.”

According to Gagdi, the forest reserve area is off-limits for farming since it is a protected zone, which has allowed bandits, kidnappers, and other criminals to use it as a safe haven.

He added, “These criminals operate from the game reserve near the Taraba boundary, where they plan and coordinate attacks against civilians.”
