School Abductions Engineered to justify Christian Genocide Narrative – Sheikh Gumi

Kaduna-based Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has suggested that the recent surge in schoolchildren abductions is part of a deliberate effort to push an “unpatriotic narrative of Christian genocide.”

Speaking on his verified Facebook page, Gumi stressed that the kidnappings are affecting children of all faiths. “The recent increase in spate of school children kidnappings are engineered to serve an unpatriotic narration of ‘Christian genocide’, and sadly for all, also Muslim children are kidnapped,” he said.

He further described Nigeria’s security situation as worsening, likening it to a “burning candle” that will continue to consume the country, “Allah willing.”
