17-Year-Old Electrocuted at Lagos Construction Site
On August 2 at 1 p.m., the police division was notified of an incident involving a young boy who died after stepping on a live wire. The woman reported receiving a call from her younger brother around 12:30 p.m. on the same day, informing her that her son had accompanied his stepfather, a welder, to a construction site on Church Street, Alagbado.
According to Hundeyin, the boy came into contact with an exposed live wire connected to an electric pole and was electrocuted on the spot. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.
The police dispatched a team of detectives to the scene, where no signs of violence were observed. The boy’s body has been removed, and his stepfather is currently being questioned. The investigation is ongoing.
