FULL LIST: 39 Existing Schools that will benefit from ongoing Model Secondary Schools projects in Ebonyi State

The governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, released a prototype of the 39 Model Secondary Schools ongoing today in selected existing schools across the 13 Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, 3 per Local Government.

He stated that among other criteria, these privileged schools were selected according to the highest number of students who registered for the previous WAEC exercise in the respective schools, to ensure there is adequate population in the schools for maximum impact. Importantly, care was taken to ensure they cut across all State Constituencies.

Work has started in all the schools, as all contractors have been mobilized according to terms. We will monitor strictly to ensure they meet specifications. Procurement of digital components like computer sets meant for the schools have been paid for, 100 percent. The furnishing will be done early next year.

Our model secondary schools and pilot primary schools will be our signatures. We will do everything within our reach to raise the bar of quality education in Ebonyi State beyond words, said the governor.

5. Ezza North Local Government
