The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reported that two people were killed in a road accident on the Ikorodu-Ogijo Sagamu expressway.

The Public Education Officer of the Ogun Sector Command, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident early Saturday. According to Okpe, the accident occurred around 5:30 pm on Friday and involved a Silver Toyota Camry with registration number EPE602JD and a Yellow Mercedes Benz Truck with registration number AA938YE.

Okpe attributed the cause of the crash to speed and loss of control, which led to the collision between the two vehicles.

The Sector Commander, CC Anthony Uga, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and advised motorists to avoid speeding and stay attentive while driving. He also urged truck operators to install speed limiting devices.
