BREAKING: Abducted Former Rep Member Onyemaechi Freed

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the release of former House of Representatives member Joan Onyemaechi, who was abducted on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Onyemaechi was kidnapped at her church off DBS Road in Asaba, Delta State, after gunmen killed her police orderly and driver.

Speaking with our correspondent on Saturday morning, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed her release, stating, “Yes, she was released last night.”
