Ebonyi Assembly Passes 16 Laws and Six Motions in One Year
The Ebonyi State House of Assembly announced on Thursday that it has passed 16 laws and six motions within the past year.
Speaker Moses Odunwa made this disclosure during the House’s First Anniversary celebration in Abakaliki, the state capital.
He stated that these laws and motions have significantly contributed to the state’s advancement and economic development.
Some of the laws passed include the “Ebonyi State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Boundary and Allied Matters Commission Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Rural Access Roads Authority Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Roads Fund Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency Law, 2023,” and the “Ebonyi State Statistics Law, 2023.”
Additionally, the House passed the “Ebonyi State Revised Appropriation Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Appropriation Law, 2023,” the “Ebonyi State Physical Planning Permit Regulation Law, 2024,” the “Ebonyi State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law, 2024,” and the “Ebonyi State Building Control Regulation Law, 2024,” among others.
The Speaker assured residents that the Assembly would continue to maintain a cooperative relationship with the executive arm of government to deliver democratic dividends to the people.
